Jailain Hollon
Strategic Tech Communications Leader | Emerging Responsible AI & Tech Policy Strategist

For nearly a decade, I worked in media and adtech for advertising agencies and tech comms across education, nonprofits, and consulting firms. My work has consistently centered on technology, translating complex digital platforms and tech policy shifts into clear, actionable strategies. Earning my Master’s in AI Management at Georgetown University, I am shifting my career into tech policy, AI safety, and AI governance while working hands-on as an AI Evaluation Fellow—auditing multi-modal models for bias, factual integrity, and safety risks. I am combining my communications background with rigorous technical study to help build ethical AI frameworks that protect vulnerable populations and hold systems accountable.
What I’m Working On Right Now
I am actively transitioning from a career in Media, Ad Tech, and Tech Comms into AI governance, safety, and policy strategy. I am taking my background in translating complex digital platforms and cultural trends and applying it to the challenges of emerging technologies. Right now, my focus is strictly on building the technical and academic foundation needed for responsible AI leadership and algorithmic accountability.
Translating Tech Policy
Designing ethical communication strategies and risk narratives for technologies with real-world social implications.
Preparing for CIPP/US
Studying privacy law fundamentals to better apply them to algorithmic transparency and responsible data use.
Hands-On AI Evaluation
Working as an AI Fellow to audit multi-modal generative AI models for bias, safety risks, and factual integrity.

Studying AI Management
Earning my Master’s at Georgetown University, focusing on AI governance, security, and data privacy frameworks.
Where I’ve Been — Lessons from My Past Work
Before transitioning into AI policy and governance, I spent nearly a decade working in Media and Ad Tech for advertising agencies, as well as Tech Comms across education, nonprofits, and consulting firms. My work was rooted in translating complex digital platforms, audience data, and tech policy shifts into clear, actionable strategies. Whether I was breaking down the implications of U.S. tech policy for global clients or building communication strategies for federal STEM initiatives, my focus was always on making digital complexity understandable. That foundational experience now directly informs how I approach AI governance and safety frameworks. The tools have evolved, but my mission to translate complexity into clarity remains exactly the same.
The tools changed.
The mission didn’t.
Credentials That Back the Mission
My approach to AI governance and tech policy is backed by deliberate, rigorous study. I am actively bridging my background in tech communications with formal training in cybersecurity, privacy law, and AI management. I don’t just rely on my past experience, I am putting in the work to build the hard technical and policy foundations required to effectively evaluate AI systems, understand digital risk, and advocate for responsible technology.
